‘Bigg Boss OTT’ makers have reacted to Armaan Malik and Kritika Malik’s controversial video. In an exclusive interview with IndiaToday.in, they called the clip ‘fake’.

‘Bigg Boss OTT 3’ makers have issued a statement pertaining to explicit content involving two contestants on the show. An intimate video of YouTuber Armaan Malik and his second wife, Kritika, recently went viral. Amid the widespread public outrage, the show’s producers have addressed the controversy.

JioCinema spokesperson shared an official statement with IndiaToday.in, defending ‘Bigg Boss OTT 3’. Calling Armaan-Kritika’s viral video ‘fake’, the makers said they would be initiating action against people responsible for defaming them.

“JioCinema adheres to strict programming standards and guidelines to ensure the quality and appropriateness of any content that streams on our platform. ‘Bigg Boss OTT’, which streams on JioCinema, does not have any such content. The video clip in circulation is doctored to include obscenity and is fake”, said the official.

He continued, “We are committed to protecting the integrity of JioCinema and the trust our viewers place in us. The creation and circulation of this fake clip is a matter of very serious concern. Our teams are working towards identifying the origins of this clip and will initiate action against those responsible for creating and distributing such defamatory content against ‘Bigg Boss OTT’ and JioCinema.”

After the video surfaced online, it sparked outrage, with viewers criticising the show for airing explicit content on a platform intended for family viewing.

On Monday, July 22, Shiv Sena Secretary and Spokesperson, MLA Manisha Kayande met with the Mumbai police commissioner to demand a ban on the reality show. She told ANI, “‘Bigg Boss [OTT] 3’ is a reality show. The shooting is going on. It’s an absolute vulgarity that is going on and that has been depicted here.

YouTuber Armaan Malik and his two wives, Payal and Kritika, are participants in ‘Bigg Boss OTT 3’. Payal Malik was recently evicted from the show. They have been among the most talked-about contestants on the reality series. Their participation has sparked widespread criticism, with many accusing the show’s makers of promoting polygamy by providing a platform for this unconventional family arrangement.
